Animated diagrams

Studies in how motion can explain a change, a connection or a sequence.

01 / ARRIVAL 8 SEC · SILENT

Evidence intake

A new fragment of evidence fills the Context slot in an existing record. The other sections stay in place.

02 / SYNTHESIS 8 SEC · SILENT

From notes to an article

Three research notes feed a synthesis. An editor reviews it before the article is published.

03 / CHANGE 6 SEC · INTERACTIVE

A document changes

New evidence fills one gap in a persistent note; everything else stays. Play, scrub, and switch the ground between light and dark.

04 / BRANCH 7 SEC · INTERACTIVE

One rule, two outputs

A shared ruleset constrains two pages through one branching trunk. Both outputs inherit the same constraints.

05 / ACCUMULATION 10 SEC · INTERACTIVE

A note accumulates

Three batches settle into three sections of one working note, in sequence. Scrub to hold any single arrival.

The two videos are landscape and silent. The three studies run in the page with play, scrub and still controls, switch between light and dark ground, and adopt a portrait layout on narrow screens. Reduced-motion settings replace continuous animation with before and after states.
